Check tests directly, or load a disorder’s core panel with one click. Everything feeds the same order set.
Disorder-first panels with clinical decision support. Tests selected here carry their indication into the order set.
Descriptive only — no individualised interpretation in this layer.
Each answer selects the next question. Nothing is stored — reset any algorithm at any point.
Conditions that must hold before a number means anything. Groups matching your current order set are marked live.
Long-form modules for topics where the number alone misleads. Claims resting on a trial carry the trial.
Every threshold below is published and sourced. Where a goal depends on risk tier, the ruler shows each tier rather than one band.
Published decision thresholds with their sources. Where a goal depends on risk tier, every tier is shown rather than one band.
Explanations that belong to no single test.
Why am I ordering this? Six entry points, each mapping to a list with a reason and an interval. Ticking here feeds the same order list.
Set once. It drives which condition cards surface as suggested, which conditional tests highlight as applying, and which safety alerts fire. Nothing is stored or transmitted.
What moves each number other than the disease — fasting, time of day, cycle phase, posture, biotin, acute-phase behaviour, drugs, and assay artefact.
One card per group of tests, in plain language, with the numbers that define each band.
Plain-language explanation of every test, with its decision thresholds shown as colour bands. This is the source of the patient handout.
How this is structured
One analyte catalog, three views onto it. The build spec is written at the top of this file and every build is checked against it.
Layer 1
Order
Every lab, grouped into the practice's own sections. Checked boxes build the order list here. Draw conditions for the current selection are pinned to this page. Condition chips narrow a section without leaving it.
Layer 2
Explain
Per-test and per-group explanation with sourced thresholds, long-form modules where the number misleads, and topics that belong to no single test. Ticked tests build the handout. No individualised interpretation.
Layer 3
Decide
Condition cards, clusters, interpretation patterns, workups, interference detail, patient context — and your own decision rules, authored here and carried into the chart note.
Scope and limits. Laboratory ordering, pre-analytic conditions, and result interpretation. This tool does not support drug selection, dosing, or titration — where a result implies treatment, it names the decision and stops there. This tool supports ordering decisions; it does not replace them. Thresholds are encoded from the sources named on each card and were verified current as of August 2026 — reconfirm before acting on any borderline decision. Reference intervals are assay- and laboratory-specific and are deliberately not printed here. Units are US conventional throughout to match EPIC. Billing codes are intentionally omitted pending reconciliation against your fee schedule.
